How do I know how many gallons of water my pool holds?
It is important to know the amount of water your pool holds in order to apply the proper ratio of chemicals. The basic chart below can help you estimate pool volume. Make sure you measure in feet. To roughly estimate your pool volume: Round: diameter X diameter X average depth X 5.9 = gallons in pool Rectangle: length X width X average depth X 7.5 = gallons in pool Oval: long diameter X short diameter X average depth X 5.9 = gallons in pool.
