WATER QUALITY AND CONDITION
- The pool should be clean and leaf free upon the arrival of the winterization crew. Jayson will not be responsible for any staining or scaling due to either a leaf condition or water chemistry problem.
- PRIOR TO WINTERIZATION YOU MUST INFORM US IF YOU WOULD LIKE YOUR POOL CLEANED. The charge for Final Pool Cleaning is $109.00 per man, per hour.
- The total alkalinity should be between 100-150 ppm. The pH should be no less than 7.2 and no more than 7.4. It is not necessary to have any chlorine in the water upon winterizing. It is the customer’s responsibility to have proper water chemistry before winterization. If you have any questions, please call the office.
- Equipment must be kept running until winterization so that freeze damage does not occur.
- Freeze damage voids all warranties.
SAFETY VACUUM RELEASE SYSTEM
In order to ensure the continued performance of your SVRS, the customer is responsible for storing the SVRS in a dry place not exposed to freezing temperatures.
WATER LEVEL
Plaster Pools: The water level will be lowered only to the base of the tile unless otherwise specified. You must maintain this level either at the base of the tile line or below to avoid ice damage to the coping and tile. We suggest that you have a small submersible pump on hand for this.
EQUIPMENT STORAGE
We will store equipment on premises as directed.
FILLSPOUT LINES
If we are winterizing a fillspout line, we must have access to the house on the day of the winterization.
WINTERIZATION CHEMICALS
*Please note change in procedures. The winterization kit is for 30,000 gallons maximum. If you have a safety mesh cover, or open after May 15th in the spring, you must add an additional gallon of Winterizing Algaecide either at winterization or in the early spring.
CHEMICAL STORAGE
All unopened and properly sealed chemicals should be stored safely for the winter. All partially used chlorine canisters or any wet or improperly sealed chemicals should be properly discarded. Chemical storage is the customer’s responsibility.
